Project Challenges:
1. Hawaii Island has a tropical maritime climate. We adopted a standing seam roofing panels to completely eliminate water seepage through nail holes. The surface of the panels has a fluorocarbon coating, resisting the high salt spray and strong ultraviolet rays of the seaside, ensuring long-term colorfastness and corrosion resistance. The mechanical interlocking seam significantly improves wind uplift resistance, meeting hurricane zone building codes and coping with extreme winds on the island.
2. A ventilation and noise reduction mesh is laid at the bottom, providing thermal insulation and ventilation: the raised air layer reduces heat conduction through the metal panels, alleviating high indoor temperatures on the roof; noise reduction: buffers the noise from heavy rain and hail hitting the metal panels, solving the noise problem caused by the island's rainy weather.
